About Us PDF Print E-mail

We are a group of IT professionals based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We work as a part of Mission Direct, a Christian Charity based in Luton.

Although officially a part of Mission Direct, we remain fairly autonomous and work mainly on IT related projects, although our vision is increasingly to help supply the schools with equipment for other areas besides IT.

Our goal is simply to provide the same kinds of classroom facilities to children in Africa as our own children have in the UK, and help the children of Africa to be at ease in this ever increasingly technological age.

At present, most of our projects have been in Sierra Leone, although we are not limiting ourselves just to this country in the future, having already done a smaller project in the Congo Republic. In 2007 we undertook our first project at the orphanage in Freetown run by the St George's Foundation.

In 2008 we installed IT classrooms at a further school in Freetown, the Nehemia Institute, and the Makama Secondary School in Makeni, plus various equipment to the St. Gabriel School in Congo Brazzaville.

We do NOT see our role as just installers. Once we have made a committment to an organisation we aim to support them on an ongoing basis, helping them maintain their equipment and develop teaching methods
